It's that time once again for another song of the week! So this week, I'm not really going to go into great detail about the song itself as I've honestly only listened it to a few times but other than that, the music video for the song is AWESOME!
Now you're probably like "alright already, what's the song??" Well the song name is in the title but I'll tell you anyways and the song is "Irresistible". Now for this song - there are two different versions of this particular song but the one that this post is about the one where it's Fall Out Boy featuring Demi Lovato. I'm also going to mention another song, Nsync's song "It's Gonna Be Me."
My one comment about the song itself is that I think it was well done adding Demi into the song (it is a remix of the original song that came out last year). I saw that there were many comments under the video that they didn't like them remixing the song or adding Demi to it because they felt that the voices didn't fit - well I think it did work well together.
Now, let's talk about what I'm writing this post really about. The music video! When Lance Bass (of Nsync) shared the video on his social media accounts about the new Fall Out Boy featuring Demi Lovato video which is a parody of one Nsync's memorable music video for "It's Gonna Be Me." "It's Gonna Be Me" was about Nsync as dolls and there's a girl walking around the store and they want her to pick one of them (doll) to take home.
Here's the video for "It's Gonna Be Me"
Now the big question that Fall Out Boy and Demi Lovato brought out for their video was: what about the other toys? The toys that are not Nsync. So they decided to create a parody video to theirs which shows exactly what happened to the toys that no one really wants - Fall Out Boy dolls. There's a better description of the video underneath it's video so go check that out.
Anyways, what's so great about this was they used Nsync's video to do a parody for and what could be better than to actually have some members in their video? Well that's what they did! Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick, both part of Nsync, made cameos in the video.
Chris was the guy who worked on the toy line with Demi and is excited about the Nsync dolls even though Demi didn't seem thrilled until the Fall Out Boy dolls came out. Joey played the role of toy store worker who didn't seem thrilled about the Fall Out Boys dolls so he tosses them into a bucket where the toys no one wants go and then he's excited when he sees the Nsync dolls come out.
I think this video is hilarious and all Nsync fans will appreciate it as well so check it out.
So what did you think of the video? Awesome right? I think it's great when artists appreciate other artists' works and does something with it. I loved it the moment Lance Bass posted it and I still love it now. I can probably watch it so many times and I'm sure you might as well (at least if you're an Nsync fan!)
Let me know what you think of this weeks Song(s) of the Week and what you thought of both videos.
Until Next Time
